Backyard Sports is partnering with the JCC of Mid- Westchester to run the BYS Prep Indoor Soccer League for 3rd-8th grade boys and girls this winter.  The league will run from January-March.  All games will be played in the main gym at Purchase College. Observations from Week #1 I was pleased with the attitude and effort with all of our teams.  Sharing the ball on offense is key in basketball.  Teams throughout the day were passing to open teammates.  One area that needs improvement is defensive communication.  At times, defenders were not sure who they were guarding.  Offensive screening was limited in our Week #1 games.  In our upcoming prep session on September 30, we will be focusing on the concept, "screeners score."  Overall it was Read more [...]
